This is one of the premier strains in California and is an elite clone (cut only). The SR-71 alternate name comes from its home dispensary in Oakland by that name. The smoke is smooth and the buzz is deep, but not debilitating. The plant is a short, pure Indica strain that grows to about 2.5 feet indoors and this strain is rarely grown with any method other than hydroponics.
When the Purple Kush begins to ripen, hints of purple appear on leaves and buds and a sweet almost pine scent emerges. The plant will flower for about 7 weeks. It is most often prescribed for chronic pain, inflammation, and multiple sclerosis.

smoked a joint with my girlfriend in her back yard. started spacing out once we finished and we made out. really focuses your attention on what your doing. a powerful, long lasting body high that will make you feel relaxed, also heightening your sensitivity. since it has such a strong, relaxing, couch-locky high it makes everything feel slower and calmer. it’s very easy to lose one’s attention in simply focusing on enjoying the high. take too much and you’ll be knocked out quick, and if you chose to stay up you’d probably have a panic attack. Probably the most numbing strain i’ve ever smoked, very uplifting, very easy to get stoned with.

I smoked this with a friend in the day time after 2 months of not smoking. It tasted really good and hit me really hard. I tried it again that night, much better of a use. What I noticed with this, is it comes on really intense and strong, but after about 10 or 15 minutes that fades away and I just feel tired and groggy. Never wake and bake with this, you’ll feel tired all day. Also, I’ve never had a weed that burned me out as much as this did. I’m sure my Purple Kush could’ve been grown better, but I wasn’t very satisfied with it.

Had this last summer. The smell and taste was great…you could tell it was purple. At first it felt great, strong body buzz that had me melting. But after about 15 minutes, I just felt tired and hazy. I did a wake and bake with it and after the high wore off I felt hazy all day. I will admit that it got my mind in the right place though. Overall, overrated strain.

Very dense nugs and easy to grind. Smoke is thick and doesn’t burn your throat. Very nice skunky smell. Don’t smoke if you got shit to do. Makes your head heavy and your body stoned. I couldn’t move from my couch for a minute. I give it two-thumbs up.
