This is a hybrid with several plants as parentage.  It is popular as a greenhouse or hydroponic plant with a heavy yield.  In fact, it produces far more buds than leaves, which can make it difficult for the non-controlled grower (outdoors or in pots) to do well with this plant.

The plants can be very large, up to 12 feet high, outdoors, but the shorter indoor plants often produce more buds per square foot and tend to have a better taste and smoke to them.  The taste and smell is decidedly citrus and the medium smoke produces a cerebral buzz that lingers well.  This plant is not as well known as its Sour Diesel cousin and is not often prescribed directly, but is a good replacement for most longer-term, light-duty needs such as chronic pain and nausea.

   Love this bud. Not as harsh as some other diesel hybrids I’ve smoked. Great uplifting buzz for those people looking for a stress-reducing day smoke.

   FAVORITE STRAIN! This stuff gets me up and moving, while giving me an intense euphoric feeling. The best quality of this strain for me personally is that I experience NO MUNCHIES! As a guy who watches what he eats this makes this strain by far the best. Definitely a sativa high, no warmness in the body just a head high, but I love it!

   it’s all in the name – it smells like diesel, and it has the personality of a new yorker. like, all wired and talkative and all caught up in the flow of the party. great social smoke, not great for smoking alone

   Upon further inspection, the bud is VERY strong, some of the stronger stuff I’ve received. But tends to give me some pretty consistant paranoia or stress if I over do it. For that reason I bring my rating down to an 8/10

   NYC Diesel consistently left me with persistent headaches. So much so that i cannot recall the high nor any perceived medical benefits.

   I recently took 1.5 pulls from a J before getting onstage at a club: while the Audience raved about my performance (gracias! thank you!), i felt uncomfortable with my perception of time. However, i DID realize that my mind was moving so fast, that i was able to set up my instrument, tune, send a text to ask the Engineer for an extra long delay, place my mic, and cooly check out the crowd while the Band played my intro!

   So there’s that.

   Made my migranes worse,also as others have noted time perception was off and made me paranoid at first.wouldn’t buy again.

    I’d only recommend this for someone who never gets paranoid or anxious. Very strong sativa effect, it’ll keep you awake but can also cause very severe anxiety, paranoia, and panic attacks. Not very helpful for physical ailments, in fact the opposite in that it contributed to heart palpitations. Definitely not a beginners strain.

    Decent but definitely not one of the better strains for my condition. In fact, it seems like I felt my pain more intensely. It did provide some euphoria so if your condition consist of depression it may be a good strain for you.

    This is a strong strain. It’ll hit you in the head quite strongly but will only give you a small body buzz. As only an occasional smoker, this strain is strong but I still smoked a fair amount and didn’t over do it.

    I would definitely recommend getting your hands on some of this if you ever get the chance, especially if you are on the fence about trying a full sativa.
