This strain is named after the famous hemp/marijuana advocate and author, Jack Herer. This strain is primarily a Haze which has been bred to have a shorter growth and flowering time. Having been around since the 1990s, this strain has won several awards including a Cannabis Cup in 1995. These are most often grown with hydroponics and as cuttings rather than from seed. The plants are quite large and heavy producers, like most Haze variants.
The buds are thick, resembling grapes, and will have a light hued resin coating whose hairs darken to a deep maroon when the bud is mature. These plants have a great smell, produce a thick, but tasty smoke, and have a good THC level. The buzz is fast and lingers and delivers a lot of THC in a short amount of time. This is why it is one of the few strains prescribed for fibromyalgia, though it is also prescribed for anxiety, migraines, etc.

I’ve become well acquainted with this strain. My dorm floor, which consists of more than half stoners, also has a distributor with decent bud and better prices. Due to some complications with his provider, he ended up with Jack Herer for something like two weeks. This is definitely the most stress-relieving cannabis I’ve ever had the privilege of toking. It also sparked some interesting conversations with my friends that seemed to last forever. Unfortunately, it wasn’t as creative a strain as I had hoped for, and that is one of the main attributes I seek out. Otherwise, mostly A’s across the scoreboard.

comes slowly. this batch wasn’t properly dried when i got it. should have sweet & funky smell when really ready to use full effect. my last lil bit was fire deserving of this 7 rating though, maybe 7.5.

Unlike the contradictory remarks below about how Jack Herer makes people both tired and energetic at the same time, let me tell you a little bit about the cordial but not so cordial welcoming Mr. Jack Herer bestowed upon my very own butt-hole!
After spreading my cheeks wide and putting Jack in my mouth, I was hungry. Three entire peanut butter (NO JELLY!) sandwiches later I was stuffed. Two hours later an assault reigned down on my defenseless toilet bowl so heinous, that i found myself apologizing to the bidet for any harm i may have caused his dear friend. You see, Mr. Herer is Mr. Horror when it comes to you and your butt-hole….or at least me and my butt-hole.
Honest confession; I’m a man! But outside of being just a man, i’ve taken some very serious shits in my days. And while i’m gonna be perfectly candid with myself and tell myself that I understand this post is childish and immature, my backside pooh hole cannot go on another day without explaining or letting be known the events of last night. Never, and I mean NEVER, has anything so foul come out from behind me and reeked havoc to such a degree, then the shit that dropped out from behind me last night.
Did I mention it gets worse? Of course not! But it did.
The back bowl pooh stains that blemished the deep thoroughs of my toilet last night are still surmounting a heavy offensive this morning. What was three independent drops has now amassed to a back wall of brown, similar to that of paint dripping down a canvas, which cannot be sponged, loofahed, or flushed away. As I sit here I worry about what’s gonna cum out next and how much more damage it’s going to inflict.
I prey thee take my advice to heart! While some of you will experience some of the more common side effects of Mr. Jack, others of you will not. And if you are one of the few who just so happens to fall into my category, sore butt-cheeks, foul aromas, and tarnished toilet bowls are but a few of the things you should could come to expect when inhaling. If Jack Herer were a man you’d probably want to punch him for what you’re about to go through. However, the next day when you wake up and he’s laying down beside you all warm and stuff inside his little plastic bag, you’ll be thankful, because Jack knows how to fuck, and fuck you he will!
May Jesus and Allah smile down on you with the force and contentment of a million angels!!!

Because it’s my birthday season, i decided to find a straight sativa at a dispensary near me. Jack Herer was the classic i’d been wanting to try. Wrapped 1/3g in an XXL Wet Cherry and my partner was lifted with only 2 pulls. I decided to stop at 6 pulls since this is my 1st time with Jack. Clear, euphoric high, energetic until the 1 hour mark. Mellow, red-eyed comedown, slightly lethargic (or maybe that was lack of sleep last night). Jack is, indeed, a proper Sativa. Cheers to Delta 9 for righteous herbs and vibes!
