If you live in California, you no doubt know about Proposition 19 which would legalize marijuana for recreational use. Like most in the state you have you opinion on subject – either for or against the legislation – and want to have a say in this historic election. But will you be able to?
Only if you are registered to vote before October 18!
If you aren’t sure if you’re registered, you can check on your status by checking the information on this page http://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/registration-status/index.htm. Depending on your county you may be able to check online or it could be the matter of a short phone call.
If you aren’t registered, you can get the form online here https://www.sos.ca.gov/nvrc/fedform/ – make sure that it is postmarked no later than October 18th to ensure that your vote is counted. Even if you aren’t in California, exercise your civic duty this fall and participate – vote!
